Good Luck Jonathan!

Today 5 May, Juche 99, it has been announced that the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Umaru Yar'Adua has died. He died after suffering for months from a combination of a disease from the heart and stomach. For months President Yar'Adua was in a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia until internal pressure from Nigeria forced him to return. Upon arrival he stepped down and allowed Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan to become acting president of Nigeria. Although, I was never a supporter of Yar'Adua's my condolences to his family and the Nigerian people who mourn his loss. I wish the best of luck to Goodluck Jonathan as he is now the president and hope that he can bring an end to the religious violence in the north and provide some form of liberation to the people in the Niger Delta.
