Endorsement for the Sinhala Parliamentary Elections

On 8 April, Juche 99, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka will hold its parliamentary elections. These elections were called following the electoral victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. In these elections, I will be endorsing the United People's Freedom Alliance. The United People's Freedom Alliance is a coalition of left wing political parties including the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, of which I consider myself a member, along with President Rajapaksa. I am endorsing the UPFA because I do believe that President Rajapaksa is responsible for the victory against the Tamil Tiger Rebels earlier this year. Although General Fonseka fought admirably, I believe the credit goes to Rajapaksa. I believe that Rajapaksa's policy, even though increasingly authoritarian, are the best course for Sri Lanka. Following a devastating civil war, which lasted over 2 years, and challenges from the Sinhalese military, authoritarian policies are the best for any nation trying to unify.

Condolences to the Moscow Victims

Today 29 March, Juche 99, innocent civilians in the city of Moscow suffered a horrible terrorist attack committed by Islamic terrorists from the Caucuses. 38 people tragically died in two suicide blasts carried out by women. My sincere condolences go out to the families, friends and victims of this horrible attack. I have faith that President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin will soon bring the horrible cockroaches who carried out these attacks to the swift and harsh justice that they deserve. Palm Sunday

Today Christians around the world, with the exception of the Orthodox Churches, celebrate the holiday of Palm Sunday. This holiday acknowledges the journey of the prophet Jesus of Nazareth into the Holy city of Jerusalem. This holiday also acknowledges the truth behind the Christian religion, which is, Jesus committed treason. Jesus of Nazareth entered the city of Jerusalem with crowds greeting him as king of Judea. Although Jesus of Nazareth never fully acknowledged that he was king of Judea and/or the Jews, he never denied it either. This move is what got Jesus into trouble. Jesus of Nazareth committed treason against the mighty empire of Rome. By never denying that he was king of the Jews, who were subjects of the Roman Empire, Jesus blatantly committed treason. I say that the crucifixion of Jesus, was just and he got what was coming to him. He was nothing more than a common criminal and deserved to be executed. SPQR. Long Live the Roman Empire!

Endorsement for the French Regional Elections

This Sunday 21 March, Juche 99, the French Republic will hold regional elections throughout the regions of France. The first series of these elections were held last week. The French punished current President Nicolas Sarkozy. Although I am a supporter of Current President Sarkozy, I will endorse the National Front. I consider myself a member of the National Front in France, and will endorse them as my party. I strongly support their moves to remove France from the EU and also limiting immigration into the republic.

Review of the San Luis Cart

Today 17 March, Juche 99, after three months of living in the neighbourhood of Astoria, New York City, I finally tried the San Luis Ecuadorian Food Cart. I have always been hesitant to try it, especially since the food seems to be a mix of Ecuadorian, Mexican, Gringo and Italian food. What put me off the most was the fact that it is a street food cart that served Spaghetti and meatballs. After many days of passing the cart, and a few beers for courage, I finally tried the food. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried a beef taco and a pork tamale with red sauce and a bottle of Jarritos Pineapple soda to wash it down. The taco I thought was ok, nothing incredible about it. The taco had chunks of steak with lettuce, onion and guacamole. The guacamole was the best part of the taco, I think, however there was not enough of the guacamole to be truly enjoyable. The tamale however, was incredible. It may be the best tamale I have ever tried. The outer corn mash was moist, tender and delicious. It was filled with pork meat and a hot red sauce which was to die for. I will certainly ignore any future hesitations I may have about the San Luis cart and I will certainly eat there again. I do believe though, that I will stick to the tamales.

Dedicated to the 12

Today, 16 March, Juche 99, for the second time in my life I finished reading the book, Mutiny on H.M.S. Bounty by Admiral William Bligh. I must say, the second time was definitely the most interesting time that I read this epic story. I believe when I was younger, I read the made up version, which I believe was written in the 1930's and made in to a Hollywood movie. I must say, the entire time I read this epic, I did not have any sympathy for the mutineers, lead by Fletcher Christian. I think the mutineers, were lazy after spending a month in Tahiti, or Otaheite as Admiral Bligh referred to it as. Although, I could not argue with the mutineers for wanting to spend the rest of their lives on the tropical island paradise that is Otaheite, but I could not subject my captain to the horrors that they endured.
What I enjoyed most about the book was that Admiral Bligh wrote his location using nautical terms throughout the entire book. The next time I read this book, I believe I will have a map of the Pacific Ocean to read and map out his path. I have earned a lot of respect for Admiral Bligh since reading this book. Throughout his travels he always communicated to the Pacific Islanders in their native language, whenever possible. This is a trait that I admire most in someone, the ability to learn the language and customs of a different culture. Those who, do not make any effort to communicate with different cultures are ethnocentric enemies of the people.
Upon arrival at the Island of Timor, the Dutch governor, yes the Dutch had a governor on Timor, offered Admiral Bligh an entire home to himself, while his crew were offered lodging in a hospital or a hotel. Bligh insisted that his crew stay with him, and he divided his private home. What intrigued me the most, was why did Bligh chose to sail to the Dutch side of Timor, when there was a Portuguese colony on the island also. The Portuguese and the British have the longest lasting military alliance in history. One would think that a British Admiral would want to sail to a British ally's outpost.
Admiral Bligh, traveled leagues across the Pacific Ocean with 19 members of his crew. All 19 crew survived the impossible, 47 days at sea in the Pacific Ocean, however only 12 made it back home to the United Kingdom. I believe that these 12, well all 19, crew were some of the bravest men who ever lived in history.

End Day Light Savings

This past Saturday 14 March, Juche 99, the United States observed a meaningless tradition known as daylight savings time. This tradition has been observed since the beginning of the last century. I have always been greatly inconvenienced by Day Light Savings time, so I strongly oppose the idea. Of course losing an hour of sleep is annoying, however the timing has always been terrible. The U.S. now observes day light savings time, at least 2 weeks earlier than the rest of the world. They do this because the whiny environmentalists want to preserve energy. Setting the clocks back 2 hours is very ineffectual, especially since the sun does not begin to go higher in the sky until after the Spring Solstice. My opposition to this begin in March of 2007, the first episode in which the green terrorists violated our basic human rights. In March of 2007, I was residing in the American State of New Hampshire, where the day of day light savings time there was over 30 cm of snow and ice. The following morning I was inconvenienced to have to wake up at 04:00 and shovel myself out to get to work, where I began at 06:00. The commute was typically over an hour. At this point I began to despise Daylight Savings Time. My passion against the stupid tradition has only increased in the 3 years, although I have always hated the tradition. This weekend, was just inconvenient.

Brazil Punshes the Gringos!

Today 9 March, Juche 99, the Federative Republic of Brazil imposed sanctions on the United States. They did this in order to defend their cotton industry against U.S. imports. Finally the U.S. is getting what it deserves, economic punishment after two centuries of exploitation.

Glory to the February Revolution

Comrades! Today March 8, Juche 99, marks the 93rd anniversary of the Great February Revolution. Of course, I prefer the Julian calendar, which would be February 23. 93 years ago, the workers of the Russian soviets revolted against the cruel and despotic Tsar Nicholas II, who is an enemy of the people. After 3 years of extreme poverty and a failed war against the Central Powers, the workers revolted and began the world's second worker's revolution. The first revolution of course began in Paris in May 1871, with the creation of the Paris Commune. Today the provisional government was founded under the foolish premier Kerensky. If it were not for the Kerensky regime, the Bolsheviks would not have been able to lead the Great October Revolution and truly provide freedom to the Russian workers. Slozhoo Sovetskomoo Soyuzu!

Endorsement for the Columbian Parliamentary Election

On 14 March, Juche 99 the Republic of Colombia will be holding their Parliamentary elections. In these elections, I will endorse the Colombian Liberal Party. I am endorsing them, because this party is beginning to shift towards the extreme Latin American Left lead by Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez. I also like how, this is the party that former Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar supported. Although, I do not consider myself a member of this particular party, they are the only party running in parliament that I can vaguely support. I can support them because they are the most powerful and vocal opponents of current president Alvaro Uribe, who is a Gringo puppet. In Columbia I would consider myself a member of the revolutionary organisation, "National Movement". The National Movement recently merged with the other major left-wing guerilla group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC).

Endorsement for the Swiss Referendum

On Sunday 7 March, Juche 99, the Swiss Confederation will hold a referendum. This referendum will decide if animals deserve the right of power of attorney. I vehemently oppose the referendum and will support the "No" camp. Animals are legally not fit to stand trial in any human court.

Endorsement for the Iraqi Elections

On Sunday 7 March, Juche 99, the Republic of Iraq will hold it's parliamentary elections and a Status of Forces Referendum. For the referendom on the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) I will support the end to the agreement. With this agreement, American imperialist forces will be forced to leave the nation. Iraqi courts will also be able to try American soldiers for crimes committed while they were off duty. Of course the end to this agreement will not give full sovereignty to Iraq, that can only be achieved when the American installed puppet government collapses. In the parliamentary elections, I will support the Iraqi Communist Party. Although I hope that these elections do fail, they are the only party in which I can sympathise.

Endorsement for the Icelandic Debt Payment Referendum

On Saturday 6 March, Juche 99, the Republic of Iceland will hold a referendum as to whether or not they should pay back investors from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Last spring, when the World Capitalist economy collapsed, British and Dutch investors lost millions of dollars when the Icelandic bank industry collapsed. Both governments with their imperialist intentions demanded that the island nation repays all of the money that their investors lost. This is the first referendum that will be held on the island since they gained independence from the Allied Powers during the Great Patriotic War. In these elections I will be endorsing the "Nej" Camp. I am endorsing the "Nej" camp because it is not the responsibility of the average Icelandic citizen to repay money lost in foreign nations. To the people who invested in the Icelandic banks, I say "Caveat emptor" . That's the danger of capitalism and you should face the consequences. If you don't like it, liberate yourselves and adopt the brilliant and glorious philosophy of Marxism-Leninism. A Vote for "Nej" is a vote which liberates the Icelandic people from the despotic and imperialist powers, Brussels is currently imposing on the sovereign nations of Europe. NEJ!

Endorsement for the Togolese Presidential Election

On Thursday 4 February, Juche 99, the Togolese Republic will hold its presidential election. In these elections I will endorse, Kofi Yamgnane. I am endorsing Kofi Yamgnane because he recently drew controversy by meeting with the French consulate in the Togolese capital of Lome. He has served as the mayor of the French village of Saint-Coulitz. He also served as French Secretary of State from 1991-1993 and Minister of Finance from 1997-1999. He is most certainly the preferred candidate of current French president, Nicolas Sarkozy. I think that Togo should maintain a course that brings the west African nation closer to the French Republic. With further French influence in the nation, I believe that the Togolese Republic will benefit greatly. Although it is likely that current president, Faure Gnassingbe will win these elections, I will not oppose further rule of Gnassingbe. The Gnassingbe clan has ruled Togo since the 1960's, with Faure's father, General Gnassingbe Eyadema bringing much stability to the nation previously stricken by constant military coups and failed democratic regimes.
