European Union Elects its First President

Today, 19 November Juche 98, the continent of Europe disgraced itself for the first time in its history by electing its first president. The election was won by current Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy. Although this horrible act occured today, one good thing did come out of this farce of a democratic election, which is former British Prime Minister Tony Blair did not win. Blair, a disgrace to the Labour Party and to socialism was not supported by many countries many because he advocated Britain's participation in the illegal war in Iraq, lead by American Imperialist forces. This is a black day in Europe's history, and if it wasn't for Irish Taoiseach Brian Cowen, who forced an illegal second referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon this disaster never would have happened.
