Endorsment for the Salvadorian Parliamentary Elections

On Sunday, 18 January, 2009, the Republic of El Salvador will hold parliamentary elections. My official endorsement for the parliamentary elections is the Farabundo Martí Liberation Movement. I am endorsing the Farabundo Martí Liberation Movement because they are the political party I typically support in Salvadoreñan politics. The Farabundo Martí Liberation Movement began in the 1980's and began a Communist revolution in El Salvador. During the 1980's, U.S. President Ronald Reagan supported the military backed-government of El Salvador against the Communist rebels. In 2004, El Salvador voted for António Saca. During his presidency Saca made El Salvador one of the U.S.'s Staunchest allies in Latin America. Saca even went as far as to deploy Salvadorian troops to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. With the economic troubles that are effecting the entire world and the collapse of the United States of America, it would be wise for the small Republic of El Salvador to vote for the Farabundo Martí Liberation Movement because the party's Communist beliefs will allow for economic assistance from the People's Republic of China which is due to become the world's superpower, if it isn't already. Voting for a left-wing political party will assist in foreign relations with other Latin American nations. Two of El Salvador's neighbours have left wing governments.
